Hetalia OC-Galapagos Islands (CRITIQUES WANTED)

Description

Hello, people! I recently got into the anime Hetalia, and wanted to make an OC because I feel like it's a good project to learn more about other countries/states/micronations/provinces are like. I chose the Galápagos Islands because I've always been fascinated by the nature and wildlife there.
So let's dive into the profile, shall we?

BASIC INFORMATION
Country/Area Represented: the Galápagos Islands, also known as the Archipiélago de Colón and the Galápagos Province, among other names
Capital City: Puerto Baquerizo Moreno
Human Name: Marisol Cruz (Marisol is a Spanish name that sounds similar to "mar y sol", which means "sea and sun", which I thought was appropriate for an archipelago. I'm not sure how popular it is, though, so I'd be open to changing it. Cruz is from Santa Cruz Island, which is the most populated island in the province. It's also a semi-common Spanish surname meaning "cross".)
Nickname(s): Mari (rarely used)
Gender: Female
Age: about 480 years
Human Age: 16 years
Birthday: celebrated on February 18 (This is the date that the islands were made a province of Ecuador. I found one source saying that the islands' "national day" is April 10, but I couldn't find anything else supporting this...if you can, please let me know.)
Height: 5'04"
Weight: 130 lbs. (I used this weight calculator www.calculator.net/ideal-weigh… for the measurements, so they should be fairly proportionate.)
Languages: Spanish, English (with a Spanish accent)

HISTORY
(I'll be referring to her with her human name, to try and cut down on grammar issues.)
Marisol was first discovered as a child by Spain in 1535. She was often visited by England during his "pirate phase" whenever he needed a hideout. However, he was one of the kinder houseguests she had in her early years-beginning in 1793, whalers used her home as a base of operations. They did many horrible things, such as whaling, killing tortoises, and hunting fur-seals, but Marisol was too young to do anything about it. She was adopted by Ecuador in 1832 as his little sister, which was the time when her growth really started picking up.
Not long after that in 1835, Marisol was visited by the HMS Beagle and Charles Darwin. Although she was still very young (around 6-7), her home and Nicholas Lawson (her boss at the time) helped lead him to several important discoveries, the most widely-known being the theory of natural selection. Ever since, Marisol has been fascinated by the sciences.
A lot of Marisol's growth occurred in the late 1800s and early 1900s, with sugarcane plantations popping up on San Cristóbal Island and Isabela Island.
In the early- and mid-1900s, Marisol began doing lots of scientific research, aided by the Academy of Sciences of California. She was, however, somewhat peeved at Ecuador's attempts to sell her due to his financial problems. America offered to buy her many times, although mostly for military/strategic reasons. It was also around this time that many European, Ecuadorian, and American colonists began visiting her (This will be discussed in more detail in the "Relationships" section).
America was eventually allowed (by Ecuador) to set up a military base on Baltra Island during
World War II. He taught Marisol how to shoot during this time, and to this day she isn't half-bad with a gun. (This is a reference to the fact that Baltra Island is an Ecuadorian military base in present-day.)
Marisol's home was designated as a national park in 1959, which she was very flattered by. This led to tourism and even more inhabitants beginning in the '60s. However, she became increasingly moody and anxious in the '90s, due to conflicts between the Gal
ápagos National Park Service and the locals.
Today, she is a proud and beautiful province that attracts tourists from all around the world.

RELATIONSHIPS
Ecuador- Marisol gets along fairly well with her adoptive brother. She regrets that she doesn't seem him more often because they don't live together. While she isn't afraid to express herself, she is respectful to him and his boss and follows the rules they set.
America-They are good friends, and he visits her often. He's quite fond of her, but in a brotherly way rather than a romantic way. He sometimes teasingly calls her "little sis".
Spain-Even though he was the first nation to discover her, he has had very little to do with her since then.
England-They're just acquaintances. However, she visits his home every year on the day Charles Darwin died (April 19, in case you were wondering) to pay her respects, as he was buried in Westminster.
Norway-He visited her briefly in the early 1900s. She is proud to have some descendants of his citizens still in her home today.
Germany-Pretty much the same as Norway's.

PERSONALITY
Marisol is an active, motivated girl who loves nature and the outdoors. She is very popular, and loves inviting people to her home. People who don't know her tend to think of her as being lax and carefree, but in reality she has many personal rules that she 's very strict about others following. For example, she has a rule against people bringing pets/non-indigenous plants and animals to her home (this is generally ignored, however). Another rule she has is against littering. Being a neat freak, she'll pick up someone else's trash if they refuse to, but this will put her in a bad mood. Marisol imposes strict curfews, restrictions to the number of people in a group, and places people are allowed to go. The most strict rule she has, which she won't bend at any cost, is no harming the wildlife.
If you follow her rules, however, Marisol is very easy to get along with. She is agreeable and welcoming, and tourists who visit her often don't want to leave. She is always happy when people take pictures of and compliment her home (she is easily flattered), but is even more delighted if they show an interest in her ecosystem and environment (Is that too redundant? If so, let me know). Marisol will give visitors tours of her home, including the Charles Darwin Station. Her hobbies include conservation, hiking, scuba diving, camping, and photography.
Because of tourists always leaving her after too long, Marisol isn't good with long-term relationships; as such, she very rarely dates. She was also burned badly in 1820 when Floreana Island was set alight by whalers. The burn is gone in present-day, but as a result of the incident she is quite skittish around fire.
She loves the sciences, and does a lot of conservation work to keep her home-and herself-looking presentable.

EXTRA FACTS
1. Marisol's hat and shoes are the colors of the Galápagos Province's flag-green, white, and blue.
2. The strap of her camera represents the Equator, which runs through the archipelago.
3. She can always be seen with at least one animal indigenous to her home, usually a finch. However, she doesn't consider them to be her pets-they come to her of their own free will (Apparently the wildlife on the islands is very tame). In fact, she considers all of the animals that live in her home "free", unless she's keeping them to research/breed them, such as tortoises.
4. Marisol was very involved in the efforts to breed "Lonesome George", the last surviving Pinta Island Tortoise. When he died, she was inconsolable for weeks, and felt like it was her fault for not trying hard enough.
5. Her personality becomes more bitter and short-tempered whenever El Niño (a weather event in the Pacific Ocean and surrounding areas) occurs.
6. She loves the rain. It has a calming effect on her.
7. While she usually dresses in the clothes she has on in the picture for practical reasons, she is not opposed to dresses and will wear a sundress on special occasions.

Finally done! Hope I didn't forget anything too important...
I hope it's apparent that I made her Mestizo, my colored pencils aren't the greatest.
Anyway...PLEASE READ THIS. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
I can't request critiques because I'm not a premium member, so I'm asking you here: PLEASE critique this OC. It would help me out a lot.
My goal is to make this the best OC she can be. If there's any inaccuracies, tell me. Likewise if there's anything that could be considered offensive. Most of all, I want general reviews of the whole profile.
What works? What doesn't? Is there anything I should add or improve on? Is there anything I should take out? Let me know. I want to hear it.
I promise I will NOT get upset or be offended by anything you tell me, as long as you say it in a respectful manner.
Oh, and one more thing: if anyone somehow submits this OC to a Hetalia OC review blog on tumblr, I will be eternally grateful. Just don't say you created her. Marisol is my OC, and I spent a lot of time on her.
